NAD+

MXC NAD+ 1000 mg vial

Size

Research focus

A coenzyme involved in cellular metabolism, examined in a small human metabolite-tracking study.

In simple words

NAD+ is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a coenzyme that helps cells carry out metabolic reactions. NAD+ is not a peptide; the selected small human study tracked metabolites rather than demonstrating reversal of ageing.

NAD+ is a coenzyme, not a peptide. Studies of NR or NMN are not automatically evidence for NAD+ itself.

NAD+ metabolism: pilot study

Human — small metabolic pilot

11 men: 8 in the NAD+ group and 3 controls.

Researchers measured plasma and urinary metabolites during and after an NAD+ infusion, documenting how the administered compound was processed.

This small, short metabolic study did not test longevity, cognitive improvement or disease prevention and cannot establish long-term safety. NAD+ is not interchangeable with its precursors NR or NMN.

What identity distinctions matter for NAD+?

NAD+ is a coenzyme, not a peptide. Studies of NR or NMN are not automatically evidence for NAD+ itself.

What do the selected NAD+ studies not establish?

NAD+ metabolism: pilot study (2019): This small, short metabolic study did not test longevity, cognitive improvement or disease prevention and cannot establish long-term safety. NAD+ is not interchangeable with its precursors NR or NMN.
